The Automobile industry produced a total 22.93 Mn vehicles including Passenger Vehicles, Commercial Vehicles, Three Wheelers, Two Wheelers, and Quadricycles in April 2021 to March 2022.

It provides direct and indirect employment to over 19 million people. India aims to double its auto industry size to Rs. 15 lakh crores by end of year 2024.
